I've started this blog so many times but somewhere along the way lost the courage. This seems to be the year of big new things in my life and I want to document and share these new adventures with my community.

Lately, I have found myself so full and yet so isolated. In January of 2021, I deleted all my social media accounts to try to get a sense of myself without the chatter. I hoped to get away from what had become a near obsession with engaging in internet discourse. I felt that the deep human need to be seen, to be in community had been twisted into sound bites and over saturated images flying across my eyes at breakneck speed. However, I've found that instagram for better or worse was a space that I shared my thoughts and ideas.
“Oh right you’re not on insta anymore!” "What are you doing these days?"
I promise I am still here and still working and creating. I am hoping to reconnect with sharing in a different way that feels more controlled and intentional.
Welcome to my newsletter/blog/life updates space!
I will be sharing my upcoming performances, reflections, work in progress, and just general information about what’s going on with me for those who would like to keep in touch!
Big News
I am a 2025 – 26 Open Call artist at The Shed!
This opportunity has been the highlight of the winter season. It still feels pretty surreal and wonderful. During my residency I am developing my most recent work "Dirty Laundry". I have received amazing support from the team at The Shed and had my first full residency week in late January.
I got to create and soak up the sun under the beautiful Tisch Skylights and do a lot of day dreaming and brainstorming; two activities I now realize are crucial to my creative process. At the end of this week I was joined by my dancers Esther Nozea and Nia Sadler for a catch up on old material and a very fruitful movement lab using movement mind maps created during my drawing sessions.
I will be retroactively sharing my thoughts and process over that week here in my blog as I prepare for the next phase of rehearsals leading up to performing late this spring.
What’s New In Spring!
by The Trojan Women Project
March 29 - April 6, 2025
This spring I will join in the The Trojan Women Project's staging of Ursula Le Guin's amazing short story "Sur". I have been part of the development for this work for over a year and it has been one of the most rewarding processes I've ever been a part of!
Sur follows a 1909 expedition to the South Pole by a group of women driven by a passion to see Antarctica with their own eyes. The women travel in secret – theirs is a radical plan, considering the constraints placed by society and family... Now, in 2025, our collective of women brings Le Guin’s fantastical but harsh Antarctica to life, transforming the Ellen Stewart Theater into a living breathing world of icebergs, glaciers, blizzards, and horizonless expanses. Come join us at La MaMa for this extraordinary tale!

June 9, 2025
On June 9th I will perform in a shared bill for Movement Research at the Judson Church. I will be presenting the result of my work at The Shed, sharing an excerpt of my piece "Dirty Laundry."
”Dirty Laundry” explores themes of burn out, toxic work culture and the absurdity of being a 20-something submitting job applications and writing cover letters at the end of the world. Through interviews, sound scores and dance theater, the work poses the following questions:
How does burn-out manifest in our bodies?
Is there any use for “utopian” imaginings in the midst of chaos?
If you’ve reached the end, thank you very much for reading.
For those that stick around, let’s keep in touch!
